FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is Hemp the same as Marijuana?
Hemp is not marijuana and marijuana is not hemp. These plants are completely different in their function, cultivation, and application.
Although hemp and marijuana are completely different on many levels, this did not stop our political leaders from getting confused and grouping the entire Cannabis species as a Schedule 1 Drug and banning it under the Controlled Substances Act in 1970. The government to this day still seems to have some confusion in distinguishing the difference between the plants.
What are Cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are chemical compounds that act on cannabinoid receptors and alter neurotransmitter release in the brain, which is also known as the endocannabinoid system. At least 113 cannabinoids have been identified from the cannabis plant (this includes both hemp and marijuana). THC, CBD, CBN, and CBG are the most studied cannabinoids.
Where is CBD legal?
Hemp products, including those with less than .3% THC in dry weight, are legal in all 50 states and for any age.
What is the product shelf life?
Shelf life is a year or longer and is extended exponentially when products are stored in a dark cool space. Light exposure causes loss of CBD, which is why we recommend a cupboard or fridge for product storage.
Will I fail a drug test?
Failing a drug test due to moderate consumption of full spectrum CBD is not likely, but possible. Theratonics has products Third Party Tested by Botanacor to ensure the dry weight of our CBD is less than .3% THC.
How long will it take to get my product?
Products will be shipped priority mail within 3 days of ordering. Tracking number will be sent to customer when it’s en route.
How much should I use when dosing Theratonics Beverage Additive?
Accurate dosing is important when finding your optimal dosage.
• Each drop for the AM or PM (1000mg) blend will equal 1.67mgs. 10-15mgs (6-9 drops) is a great place to start for these products.
• Each drop for the Super (1500mg) blend will equal 2.5mgs. 10-15mgs (4-6 drops) is a good range to start for this product.
What is the difference between Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum, and Isolate CBD?
CBD Isolate: All other cannabinoids and plant compounds are completely removed. This is ideal for those skeptical of THC or undergo frequent drug tests. CBD isolate does not deliver the same enhanced benefits as full spectrum.
CBD Broad Spectrum: A mix between isolate and full spectrum, the THC is completely removed but the cannabinoids, flavonoids, terpenes, and plant parts are preserved, still delivering most of the enhanced benefits of the “entourage effect”. This offers more benefits of the cannabis plants than isolate, yet less than full spectrum. This is recommended for individuals skeptical of THC or that regularly undergo drug screening.
CBD Full Spectrum: CBD extracted from the cannabis plant along with all of the other compounds and cannabinoids. This offers full benefits of the entire cannabis plant and when all compounds and cannabinoids are working together, they have a greater effect. Full spectrum is recommended for those seeking the benefits from the “entourage effect” or the whole plant.
Theratonics believes in utilizing the entire hemp plant in our formulations. Studies show more health benefits when combining all cannabinoids and terpenes. Many members of the entourage effect are metabolized by the same enzymes as CBD, meaning having all components of the plans could delay CBD from being broken down by the body, keeping it in circulation and effective longer.
